Alpha Centre Fit Steel Horseshoes have been designed with the ground surface outer edge rolled off reducing the strain and making it easier for horses to turn without damaging themselves.
In recent times horses have been subjected to increasing amounts of circle work, which has had a disastrous effect on their lower joints.
This shoe design has had a huge impact on reducing the incidents of lameness especially in sports horses world wide.
The Centre Fit front shoes
- They have a wide section giving good cover.
- Provide heel support making it the perfect shoe for working on surfaces.
- Wide rolled off toe allows for an easy unrollment from surfaces without losing support and traction.
- The concave design helps to add grip when used on grass or slippery surfaces.
- Plain heels for drilling stud holes.

- Slightly narrower width section adds traction giving sports horses greater traction.
- They offer heel support and making it the perfect shoe for working on surfaces.
- Wide rolled off toe allows for an easy unrollment from surfaces without losing support and traction.
- The concave design helps to add grip when used on grass or slippery surfaces.
- Plain heels for drilling stud holes.
- Added support when jumping.
The Performance Hind.
- Wide toe preventing excessive penetration into the ground surface, making it the perfect partner for arena surfaces.
- Roll off across the toe area allowing a timed and gentle unrollment of the foot and limb (Breakover).
- Has multiple surface grip features in the ground surface pattern.
- Clean pencilled heels to prevent stones trapping.
- Often used as a suspensory injury shoe as it has a wide toe and narrow heels.
The nail holes in all variations of Centre Fit Steel Horseshoes shoes have a unique lock down effect on nails, retaining them tight throughout the normal shoeing period.
Because of this “lock down” effect, it is possible to use a size smaller nail and lock it down level with the lower outside edge of the shoes.
