MNC Heart bar shoes work by placing a bar between the heels of a shoe adds several inches of surface area to the foot, thereby reducing movement and stabilizing the hoof capsule.
The additional ground contact surface also seems to prevent the palmar/plantar section of the hoof from sinking into deformable surfaces providing a “flotation” effect.
They can be used for most injuries and pain in the back half of the hoof, long, under-run heels, corns or injury to the heel or quarter.
The Vulcan Heart bar offers protection and a greater weight-bearing platform for the horse to stand on, shifting support further back under the leg, giving an instant improvement in many cases.
